Meditation and Mindfulness Community
The intention behind this weekly meeting in Corvallis is to cultivate an inclusive mindfulness community. If we are to continue to grow and live meaningful lives, we need each other. Each week, we meditate as a group then share our experiences practicing weekly mindfulness exercises such as; attention, compassion, equanimity and loving-kindness. We’ll also examine our values and learn to apply them skillfully in our lives. We’ll generate more wisdom by exploring our misperceptions, biases and unhealthy motivations. All that is required to attend is an interest in cultivating peace and living a meaningful and purposeful life.
Schedule:
Thursdays 7:00 - 8:00 PM

“In attending Dan’s weekly guided meditations, now held over Zoom, I have found a wonderful and much needed sense of likeminded community. The 30 minute guided meditation is helpful for both beginners and those that are more experienced. Followed with a discussion of what is happening in the world in general and each of us in particular. Dan so beautifully provides us participants with a warm and inviting space that makes heartfelt and insightful discussions easy and inclusive. It never fails to provide me with one hour a week where time seems to stand still and I can nourish my inner most self with the serenity and compassion we all need.” ~ Christy R. Oct. 2020

“What a great way to spend a day! The grounds were beautiful and radiated peace. Under Dan’s gentle and loving guidance the day of silent meditation was a breeze, yet deeply rewarding. I’ll be back.”

"My day with Dan at the beautiful Trappist Abbey for his Silent Meditation Retreat was illuminating, relaxing and full of insights. Dan facilitates a safe, loving and insightful experience, whether you are new to meditation or at it for many years. And for those, like me, who might worry about the physical challenge of sitting, the day is organized into manageable, focused sections with ample opportunity to walk, reflect, and simply and silently, be quiet. If you can, join him."
